Pool Closure Update:

Our pool is currently closed, but the Gym, Sports Hall and Group Exercise Studios remain open as normal. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Tenterden Leisure Centre Trust Limited was established in May 2002 to provide sporting, recreational and leisure facilities for the residents of Tenterden and the surrounding villages.

Purpose

The purpose of the Trust is to provide sporting, recreational and leisure facilities for the residents of Tenterden and the surrounding villages. While our partnership agent, Serco Leisure Operating Limited carries out the day-to-day operation of the Centre, we are both continuously looking for opportunities to expand the offer to our customers. Of course it is the customers who are the key, and we look to them to make suggestions and proposals.

Strategy

With the launch of the Sport England 10-year strategy (2021-2031), the post Covid-19 environment and a new service provider contract being drafted for the Tenterden Leisure Centre, Trustees have determined to revisit their own strategy, last updated in 2010.

Board of Directors

The Directors are volunteers, who have all responded to advertisement or invitation. The aim is to maintain a Board of Directors, which is representative of the town and surrounding villages, with a balance of men and women, and represents the full spectrum of age groups. Certain organisations have a right to places on the Board but there is a predominance of users of the facilities of the centre.
