Customer Notice:

We're currently open, but for dry side activities only. Our swimming pool remains closed at the moment. As soon as we have more details about when it will reopen we will let you know.

We’re proudly supporting the Reconnect, Kent Children and Young People Programme, here at the Tenterden Leisure Centre.

Your child, if eligible, can take part in a range of FREE, or discounted, activity sessions. Eligible parents/children will be sent a ‘Reconnect E-voucher’ from their school. These are typically children in receipt of FREE school meals, or those that can be referred by a professional body, e.g. Social Services, Early Help Team, etc. (Please note professional bodies can also get in touch with the centre to refer directly).

All the activities they can take part in are listed below, along with how to book and the cost. For many activities your child can bring friends and family members too – at a reduced price.

Please get in touch quickly so your child doesn’t miss out - spaces are limited, and on a first-come-first-served basis.

If you have any questions, please make contact with the leisure centre directly: email Theresa at theresa.knott@serco.com

What's this all about?

Reconnect is a Kent County Council-led, community-based programme designed to get Kent’s children and young people moving, active and thriving following the pandemic.
Children can have fun together, catch up on missed learning, engage in sports and activities, regain their confidence and gain access to further opportunities. More details are at the bottom of the page.

Who can take part?

Eligible children who are 18 years old, and under, will need to show their Reconnect E-voucher at the Leisure Centre. Or they can be referred by a professional body (EG Social Services, Early Help Team etc). Also, adults up to 25 years old if referred.

How your child can take part

From 9th May, your child can take part in the activities up to August 31st 2022. If your child is taking a ‘course’ this will continue after the 31st August, so long as the booking is made no later than the 31st August.

To take part in the Reconnect activities, simply visit the reception at the leisure centre with your electronic ‘Reconnect Card/Voucher’. In addition, if your child is part of a supported group and is eligible via referral, please ask a representative of this body to make contact directly.

Some activities require booking in advance.
